What is EFT?

EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Technique.  It is also referred to as “tapping”, usually on acupressure points in the upper part of the body.

It’s an alternative therapy treatment in that is is designed to treat emotional distress, pain, anxiety and has also been used to treat individuals experiencing Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.  It is seen as an “energy” system treatment.  The original developer, Gary Craig, believed that a disruption in “energy” is the cause of difficult emotions and pain.

Research continues into the benefits of EFT, but many people find it helps in reducing symptoms of anxiety, pain and other emotional difficulties.
